The 3rd annual Got Talent show got off to bang with several stellar performances by youth participants. This event hosted by Abdul and Bile, was attended by around 100 youth, parents, teachers and staff members. There were over 15 artistic acts that included duets, dance routines, skits and a 7 year-old piano soloist. The audience remained respectful, enthusiastic and encouraging throughout the entire show, offering encore cheers. All of the positive feedback (which is a point of instruction for Middle School Partnership in the weeks leading the show) left all performers with smiles on their faces and definitely imbued in them a higher level of self efficacy.

One act that stood out were the Bobby Bots, a group of over 12 youth in matching outfits performed a complex and lengthy dance while impersonating robots. This group’s performance full of solo’s, acrobatics and laser sharp cemetery in the routine brought the crowd to its feet. In honorable fashion, there was no one winner of the show. Instead, all participants felt as if they were champions, because they had the courage to stand in front of peers and give it their all.
